National Seismic Networks

A functioning national seismic monitoring system. In months, not decades.

Built for governments, NGOs, and national agencies

Most countries in seismically active regions lack adequate earthquake monitoring infrastructure. Building one has traditionally required decades of investment and institutions capable of operating complex, expensive equipment.

Grillo changes that equation. Our sensor networks are deployable in months and manageable by small teams using Grillo Cloud. We've built national-scale systems in Mexico, Puerto Rico, and Haiti — and we bring that experience to every new deployment.

We work with governments, UN agencies, development banks, and NGOs to scope, fund, deploy, and operate national seismic networks — including knowledge transfer so local institutions can take ownership long-term.

What a Grillo national network includes

Network design & scoping

Sensor placement optimised for fault coverage, population density, and alert propagation. We model the network before a single sensor is installed.

Hardware supply & deployment

Grillo Pulse and Grillo One sensors shipped and installed by our team. Solar-powered, LTE-connected, GPS-timed — ready in days per site.

Cloud platform & monitoring

Grillo Cloud gives your team a real-time dashboard of the entire network — device health, data quality, and alert status — from anywhere.

SISTEM early warning

Automated earthquake detection and public alert distribution via mobile networks, apps, or connected devices. The same stack proven in Mexico and Haiti.

Institutional integration

We connect the system to national disaster management authorities, geological agencies, and civil protection bodies — ensuring it's embedded in existing emergency response frameworks.

Knowledge transfer

Training for local teams to operate, maintain, and expand the network independently. Long-term data sovereignty built in from day one.

Where we've built

Haiti

Haiti

The Caribbean's first EEW system. 100 sensors. Built with UNDP, Digicel, AWS, and IDB.

Puerto Rico

Puerto Rico

100+ sensors with the Puerto Rico Seismic Network. Announced at the Clinton Global Initiative.

Mexico

Mexico

Deployed in Oaxaca and Guerrero with USAID and AXA. Outperformed the government EEW system (SASMEX) in detection speed.
